Within the device is a sterile cartridge containing 12 microscopic needles powered by AOVNTM technology, designed to motorize the pen at a high rate. Once the needles prick the skin, they instantly stimulate collagen production below the surface. Compared to traditional manual micro-needling, SkinPen technology allows Dr. Galitzin to select the best setting for your unique needs and deliver faster treatment with better precision.
The overall treatment can generally be completed in about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and amount of areas being treated. As the pen glides along the surface of your skin, you will feel a slight tingling sensation much like sandpaper rubbing against your skin.
