Laser resurfacing uses state-of-the-art Fraxel technology to rejuvenate your appearance. During treatment, the fractional laser will send energy into deep layers of your skin to stimulate collagen production. The laser will also resurface your topmost skin cells, removing dull, damaged skin for healthier, younger-looking results.
Many patients choose to undergo laser resurfacing because it acts as a long-term solution to skin concerns. Often, topical treatments improve only minor concerns and have short-term effects. Injectables can add temporary volume, but do not encourage cell turnover. In comparison, the Fraxel laser can reach deeper levels of skin, promoting collagen growth for lasting results.
The advanced Fraxel laser can address a wide range of cosmetic concerns, including:
Although patients with fairer skin typically achieve the best results, we can provide fractional laser skin resurfacing for patients with all skin tones without the fear of hyperpigmentation.
Before your procedure, we may apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to ensure your comfort. A highly trained member of our team will then gently apply a specialized handheld device to your skin, moving it slowly across the surface. This state-of-the art instrument can target specific areas of skin, delivering a safe and precise treatment.

During the resurfacing process, you may experience a warming sensation and minor irritation. However, discomfort is generally very mild. Typically, your procedure can last between 15 to 45 minutes, depending upon the size of the treatment area.
When your laser skin treatment is complete, we will apply a special ointment to prevent scabbing and reduce irritation. To prevent scarring or infection, you should continue to apply ointment as directed and follow our recovery instructions.
Healing can last several weeks. During the first week of recovery, you may experience some swelling. However, this should fade fairly quickly, and most patients are able to return to their usual activities within one to two weeks. For patients who undergo more extensive treatments, redness can persist for up to several months after the procedure. However, this discoloration can be easily covered with makeup.
You can expect to see noticeable improvements within two weeks of your procedure, as a new layer of healthy skin forms. However, it can take several weeks before you can see the full results of your enhanced, rejuvenated appearance. In order to achieve the most significant, lasting transformation, many patients undergo more than one treatment. To help you achieve your cosmetic goals, our team can work closely with you to create a customized treatment plan.
