Our Atlanta area practice features the latest technology to inject JUVÉDERM, which Dr. Galitzin performs himself. He uses a specialized, thin flexible tube called a cannula, made by DermaSculpt®, to administer JUVÉDERM. Other clinics in the Atlanta area may use sharp needles. Also, Dr. Galitzin uses a formulation that contains lidocaine. Lidocaine is a commonly used local anesthetic, which adds to your comfort. Treatment at our practice can provide:

JUVÉDERM Results and Recovery
Keep in mind that while the effects of JUVÉDERM are long-lasting, they are not permanent. For some patients, the results of one JUVÉDERM treatment can last up to a full year. There are some techniques you can use to extend the longevity of dermal fillers, including minimizing your ultraviolet UV exposure and maintaining a consistent skin care routine. With JUVÉDERM, your results should appear immediately and you can return to your normal activities the same day. However, we advise that you avoid strenuous exercise for a couple of days after treatment.

The effects of JUVÉDERM are immediate and can last significantly longer than BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments. On average, patients enjoy a healthier and rejuvenated appearance for six to nine months, with some treatment results lasting up to two years. BOTOX Cosmetic typically requires retreatment about every three to four months. However, Dr. Galitzin's patients can combine a BOTOX Cosmetic treatment with JUVÉDERM for more dramatic and lasting results.

Am I a Candidate for JUVÉDERM?
Candidates for JUVÉDERM are individuals who are dissatisfied with the way their face is aging and want to eliminate facial lines or augment their lips. Depending on the formula, treatment can be performed on nearly any area of the face. Fillers can be used to enhance facial contours as well as minimize the appearance of scars, especially those caused by acne. JUVÉDERM can improve:

Preparing for JUVÉDERM Treatment

We advise our patients to stop taking anti-inflammatory medications one to three days prior to their JUVÉDERM procedure. While you will be able to maintain your skin care and makeup routine after treatment, you should not wear makeup to your appointment. Additionally, since hyaluronic acid is biocompatible, there is no need for a pre-treatment allergy test before receiving JUVÉDERM injections.
