Botox® Cosmetic

After years of squinting, laughing, frowning and worrying, the skin around the eyes and forehead will often develop deep lines and wrinkles that can make you look older, tired, angry or stressed. Until recently, these advanced furrows have been difficult to treat. Now, by utilizing this FDA approved muscle-relaxing agent, wrinkles can be significantly reduced. In select clients, Botox® Cosmetic can be used in the lower face to relax vertical “pucker lines” around the mouth or alleviate a “gummy smile”. It can also be used to improve down-turning corners of the mouth and vertical neck bands caused by tight muscles. However, results in the lower face can be variable.
Botox® Cosmetic has been used in medicine for almost 3 decades on thousands of patients with an excellent safety profile. It takes 2-10 days after administration to see the effect.

Duration of Botox® Cosmetic is 3-4 months. With continued treatment, the duration may become longer. Be assured that your face will not look frozen or paralyzed. You will continue to have the movements of expression without the wrinkles!
